Trouble unprotecting a shared workbook with a password

    Hi
We have a saved, shared workbook which has been password protected there is only one column of cells that is unprotected so data can be changed. It seems to have locked up and we can't unprotect it to make changes. It doesn't ask for a password and you can't click on any of the icons on the toolbar, they are not available to select.
    We are using excel 2010.
We've been able to unprotect it in the past to add cells and columns and then protected it again.

    Hope someone can help!

    Thanks
    Geebeez

You have to Remove the sharing to access the Protect / Un-Protect the sheet.

But ensure that no other user is connected with that workbook when you remove the sharing

Glad it helps you and thanks for the feedback
