I have attempted to follow numerous examples of DCOUNT formulas to total the number of instances of each activity type on the attached spreadsheet. I hope to show the totals next to the appropriate labels below the table starting with Row 125. Can anyone help with the syntax? I have an urgent need to use the data on a regular basis and the output will always follow the attached format.

Thank you, Fotis, for your quick reply. I tried that formula in the sheet but it is counting all instances of the text in column A rather than totaling the number of citations for each week of that particular type (represented by the color-coded cells). Am I doing something wrong?

The list along the left side is something I can't help populating on the report but what I'm trying to do is capture the number of times the "G" (Gerber) appears in each of the columns. The left column only helps clarify what the G stands for. For example, the G appears twice (once at B6 and once at B47) so I would call the count for that week two instances. Those are the items I'm trying to quantify at the bottom for each week. I hope that helps.
