Counting word in one column, but only once for each word in another column

Hello,

I want to be able to count cells in a column that have a specific word, but only once for each name in another column. Example below:

Group 1 Yes
Group 1 Yes
Group 2 No
Group 3 No

The result should be
Yes = 1
No = 2


Anyone know if this is possible?
