    sumifs does not work in excel 2003

    I have the following formula on my home laptop which is excel 2007, but I need to use it on my work laptop which is excel 2003.

    =SUMIFS(TRANSAKSIES!BEDRAG,TRANSAKSIES!DATUM,"<="&KREDITEURE!$C$1,TRANSAKSIES!DATUM,">"&KREDITEURE!$B$1,TRANSAKSIES!KREDITEURE,KREDITEURE!$A3)

    Please help.

    Like this...

    =SUMPRODUCT(--(TRANSAKSIES!DATUM<=KREDITEURE!$C$1),--(TRANSAKSIES!DATUM>KREDITEURE!$B$1),--(TRANSAKSIES!KREDITEURE=KREDITEURE!$A3),TRANSAKSIES!BEDRAG)

    SUMIFS is only for Excel 2007 and later
    =sum(if(.....and apply the logic...

    Yes, though this must be array-entered so T.V.'s SUMPRODUCT is preferable:

    =SUM(IF((TRANSAKSIES!DATUM<=KREDITEURE!$C$1)*(TRANSAKSIES!DATUM>KREDITEURE!$B$1)*(TRANSAKSIES!KREDITEURE=KREDITEURE!$A3),TRANSAKSIES!BEDRAG))

    Can you be more specific?
    You mentioned OpenOffice, so do you mean it doesn't work in OpenOffice?
    Or does it not work in XL2003 (which is the title of the thread by the way).

    In what way does it not work?
    Do you get an error? What error?
    Do you get the wrong result? What result DID you get? What result did you expect and why?

    I don't know.

    If you're using/wanting to use OO there is a forum dedicated to other applications.
