    Calculating Payment Terms

    Hello,
I have a question that i need an answer to but I am also trying to figure out if there could be a formula or a way to calculate the following in excel:
If I sell one apple (can be anything, just for illustration purposes) every week for 16 weeks and get paid 20 days after each time I sell one...in how much time will get my money back.

I would really appreciate your feedback on this.

    Re: Calculating Payment Terms

Perhaps a simple way is using a table...

In A1 type your start date. In A2 and copy down, use this

    =A1+7

    In B1 type

    =a1+20

    In B2 and copy down

    =B1+20

And you get your result using this.

    =MAX(B:B)-MIN(A:A)

    Re: Calculating Payment Terms

Can you please show me how it should look like in an excel spreadsheet (can you attached one). It should reflect 16 weeks in total until all money is paid back.
    Thank you so much

    Re: Calculating Payment Terms

Thank you for this. I think the excel setup is right but the calculation is not reflecting what I want. To clarify, we want to know what would the total amount of time to receive my money back if I sell every week for 16 consecutive weeks 1 item to a client and he only pays me back 20 days later each week he buys this item from me. I would think it takes 133 days to get my money back.
Please let me know your feedback
