Summarizing/sorting URLs by frequency

Hey all,

I'm working on an Excel sheet for something at work and trying to do some analysis reporting on some data I've collected. Long story short, I've got about 600 website URLs collected and sorted into a 3x200 area (3 columns, 200 rows; all in "www.URL.com" format (OKAY, well, technically there's like 7 sheets in this doc each with 30 URLs and I'm trying to get analysis on sheet 8). Is there a way that I can have a "Summary" sheet on a separate page that can tally up the website URLs and see which are most frequent? Or any other tools for summarizing the data into quick little info bites.

Here is an attached file as an example: testdoc2.xlsx


The first 2 sheets have 3 columns with assorted web addresses and the 3rd sheet has a summary page. I'd like the summary page to look at the URLs present in sheets 1 and 2 and summarize them in highest-lowest order in sheet 3 along with a tally of frequency in the column beside the one showing the web addresses.

I can clarify more if it is not clear.

This one is a bit more simple, so I don't think I'll have to upload a sheet. How can I take a column that is filled with words and numbers. Say:

Food
Color
12
18
B
27
Elec
888
Love
16
x

And have three summary cells where it will identify the lowest number, highest number, and average across all numbers while ignoring any words that are within, say, A1:A15?

yes what you are asking is possible. I think you will find if you upload a small sample file, your request will be better understood and answered quicker.

Or, what really would be lovely would be (now, sorry if I sound like a noob asking for things that are impossible) trying to "code" a smart-pick function that will go through the list and sort by relevance in relation to a certain variable (i.e. "Dessert" or "Flower").

Not sure if that's even possible, but I'd love to be able to have it run a script on cells, say, A2:C200, analyze the text in the web URLs posted, and attempt to sort them based on how closely correlated they are with a specified word / phrase.

For the record,
it would be nice if your example sheet actully had numbers that are true.
