Conditional Formatting for date

I need your help with formatting cells with particular date's for a month.

For instance, lets say Cell A1 has 5/5/2011. If Cell A1 satisfies the rule that all date's are of a particular month it must be highlighted.

In the above example the cell must have been highlighted since its still May 2013

Now the year is a problem is the year. How do we do it ??

Select A1 cell and extend your selection down... A1 should be active cell since the below formula refers to A1 cell.

That is if the year is the same, i guess.. What if its different

Does'nt work. It says true if only its the same day as today
