IF Formula or Conditional Formatting - HELP Please

    Hi There,

I am having trouble with one of my spread sheets. I will explain what I would like to do; any help would be much appreciated.

Basically the easiest way to explain is using this example.

Imagine you are entering a row of six numbers frequently in six individual cells. There are a list of random numbers aside of this row. When a number is entered in the row of six I would like that number to highlight in the list.

Is this possible and have I explained it enough?

    Thanks for your help.

    Jack

yes and no what are the ranges?
lets assume a1:f1 is your row waiting to be filled and a2:f2 is your list of pre filled numbers which you want highlited
then in a2 set the cf as=COUNTIF($A$1:$F$1,A$2) fill formatting across to f2

Ok its a speadsheet I use for our Lottery syndicate at work.

I have a list of our numbers down the right. Then I enter the numbers every week.

Therefore range of numbers is 1-49.

    This help?

lottery checkers are around this forum a lot
Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include BEFORE/AFTER sheets if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Remember to desensitize the data.
