Having a problem getting the correct sum for each day and each week on my schedule help!

Hello all I am having a very hard time figuring out how to get the weekly hours to calculate properly. The example is G9 and W9 should be the same number. can anyone help me with this?

hi gburwell88. they are actually the same. depends on how you want to present them. do you want it as 8:30 as in 8 hours, 30 minutes? or 8.5 hours. the former is in G9, while the latter is in W9. for W9 to show as 8:30, don't multiply answer by 24. this will do
=D9+G9+J9+M9+P9+S9+V9
then format as:
[h]:mm
the square brackets allow anything above 24 hours to be shown

for G9 to show 8.5, multiply answer by 24
=IF(E9="",0,IF(F9-E9>0.25,F9-E9-"1:00",IF(F9-E9>0.21,F9-E9-"0:30",F9-E9)))*24
then format as General.
