How can I pull totals from pivot table field

    Hi everyone,

I'm trying to pull and calculate the total from a pivot table field to populate another table. The total sub total will not be checked so all I will have is the raw numbers that need to be added until the next Item in the pivot table. Kind of hard to explain but the attachment shows the information that I'm trying to get.

I don't understand. Please explain clearly why you can't just sub-total the Item field (right-click anywhere in this column on the Pivot Table)?

nor do i but failing that put in o4 =IF(N4="","",IF(J4="",O3,J4)) fill down
then you can use in q10 =SUMIF($O$4:$O$100,P10,$M$4:$M$100)

Re: How can I pull totals from pivot table field

Sorry my last post must not have made it. I could set the pivot table to provide the item sub total. But then How do I get the Item sub total from a particual field? The Item Names will be constently changing so I'm looking for something that will be dynamic.
