    Question Match Formula Issue

    Hi:

In the attached I am trying to fill out the "Order" number in Column C. I need to match up the material based on the Material and Delivery Date matching. I have duplicate materials numbers, so I need to have an exact match where the material and date match to give me the "Order" number.

Column I, J, and K are my data fields I need to search against. I need to pull the correct order number into Column C from Column K based on matching information.

    Thanks.

I can't understand your attached file. Can you explain more? I can't find "material", "Delivery Date" in your workbook.

    Re: Match Formula Issue

Is your real data like your sample??

What i mean is your dates are mixed..Some are real dates and some are TEXT that looks like date. Same for the Materials Numbers...

    Re: Match Formula Issue

    Hello,

See if the attached file is what you are looking for.

Note 1: formula used is Array formula, so you will need to hold Ctrl-Shift and hit Enter to confirm. If the formula is being wrapped inside a { } like in the sample then you did it right.
Note 2: your Material number is stored as text, and some of them have trailing space.
Note 3: the date on your lookup range is stored as text, not number.
