What i am trying to do here is doing a vlookup to find Tom in sheet 2 and then match the month and give the data.

Hi Dilip,
Thank you very much for your help, worked like magic. was not very familiar with Index and Match but with this guess i will try and play with it and learn more seems like a very useful formula.
