    Formula for multiple entries

    Hi,

i'm new to excel, and this is probably easy enough to solve, but i'm stumped.

I am creating a work book and i'm looking to add or subtract values from 3 columns into a separate column, the value in the column they are being entered into i need the total to remain, but i need to reset the other 3 columns back to zero after say 2 mins.

    Is this possible???

Also i need to transfer data from a sage package into a excel document column, this is live data which is constantly updated??

    Is this possible???

    Thanks

    Re: Workbook problem

Its basically a stock sheet, where there is a physical stock column, to this can either be added or subtracted 3 columns (goods in, issued stock or stock returns).

So they are being calculated against current stock levels?

Okay.. let me try again to rephrase it for you :-
"I am creating a workbook and I am looking to add or subtract values fro 3 columns into a separate column. I need this separate column to remain same but I need to reset those 3 columns to zero, say after 2 mins"

above paragraph clearly describes which column(s) to be reset as zero. Let me know if you agree, else please explain once more. Thanks.

    Re: Workbook problem

    hi,

I've created a spreadsheet(workbook),columns A - E have other data in them, Column F i want to import data from a sage package. I've set column G to be the current stock level, column I i wish to use as any goods imported in, Column J is to issue goods out and column K is for any returns back.

When i input any data into columns I, J or K i wish them to either add or subtract from the stock level in column G, but i wish them to
refresh back to 0 (zero) after a set time(say 2 minutes for example) and the stock in column G to save as the new figure.

Does that make any more sense??

    Is it a complex task??

    Chris
