    Count Comments

    Hello,

I'm using Excel 2010 and have a spreadsheet with lots of different comments in, which are free text in response to an open question (none of the comments are likely to be exactly the same).

Could you please let me know of a formula to count the total number of columns in a column?

    Thank you,

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

    welcome to the forum.
I believe there is no standard function available in Excel for this and the only option is VBA (macros) UDFs.

    Re: Count Comments

Not sure if Steve meant to count the comments entered in the cell OR to count the text values entered in the cell(s)
