    Post How to perform vlookup on filtered data

    Hi,

    I need to filter a table using a value and in the resulted table I need to perform vlookup only on filtered data, not on whole column. can you please help me on solving the issue?

    I have attached my excel sheet,

    I need to vlookup the values on column C with column B and result should be in column D. I tried filtering and applying the vlookup formula, but its returning the value from the hidden rows also.

    I want to filter only the Bucket1 data and perform vlookup on that.

    Thanks in Advance,
    Menaka B

    It will work fine when the Bucket1 data is continuous and when it referred to Bucket1 range alone. But vlookup don't have any argument to exclude hidden rows.

    Thanks a lot , but I have one more concern. I need to perform for whole Bucket1 data, which will change daily, I mean the rows are dynamic. In the excel sheet I attached contains 9 Bucket1 data but for tomorrow it might be 20. Can you please help on this?

    Thanks in advance,

    @Menaka

    Please add in your response to whom you responding (you get answers from differant members).

    The couples of times of bucket1 is not a problem with index / match.

    You can alter your range from

    into e.g.

    Or you can use offset for that.
