Hello, I need your help in decoding this excel formula. The formula is in J156 of a spreadsheet. I am familiar with Vlookup but at the basic level. Your help is greatly appreciated

My guess. Go to a156,
Display the left data
takes off 2 characters
Then match a156
With the 2 last digits in compensation
Display the result for exact match only.
The formula was written by an ex
-employee, but the results of the formula are incorrect
Show it in excel with expected output for better understanding
