    separating a post code

    Hi

    I have a cell which states

    BT48 8hd

    How do I separate as I just want the BT48?

    That will work if the PC is a constant 4 characters, which isn't stated unfortunately.

    if it varies such as BT48 and HL2716 8hd you can use the Text to Columns function, select delimited and check the space box if the sequence is always followed by a space.
