Hello,
Where is the date from? Basing on what criteria?
Can you provide a sample so it will be easier for others to help you also?
(copy pasta from Ford)
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools

I would like for Cell (B2) to auto fill the current date when any type of data is entered in Cell (A1)
It could be any cell really, I could then make the necessary adjustment.
Hope that helps.
If so, you can make use of a formula like this
and format it in Date.![]()

AWESOME!!
That formula looks so simple, I feel like an idiot now. haha!
Thanks Lemice!
Hey Lemice,
I'm looking at the spreadsheet today and some of the data I entered yesterday have today's date. Is there any way to make the date stay on the date the data was entered?
Thanks again,
The only way I can think of, is that you copy the range of data before the day pass, then right click somewhere else (or go Edit), "Paste Special...", choose "Value".
This way Excel will make the new data you just created pure number / text.
Okay. That'll have to do..
Thanks
