    Conditional drop down list

I am building a table where Column A contains the title of a client deliverable and Column B contains the date of the deliverable. Column B contains a drop down list of the dates of the current week. However, I only want Column B to be populated with a date if Column A contains text. This way, users can delete the text in Column A and the date selected from the drop down in Column B will automatically disappear without having to delete that cell as well. Is there any way to do this?

    Thanks!

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include BEFORE/AFTER sheets if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

I was able to mimic what I wanted to do by setting Column B's conditional format to a white fill with white font whenever a cell in Column A is deleted. Maybe not the most elegant approach but it got the job done.
