hi, New question, is it possible at all to list words from a list!

A1
boy
cat
dog
etc...

boy
empty cell
cat
empty cell
empty cell
dog

Its hard to explain why as I will need to explain the hold system, but the function is very much needs...
is this a hard thing to do, any clues...

Enter this array formula** in A1:

=IFERROR(INDEX(A$6:A$13,SMALL(IF(A$6:A$13<>"",ROW(A$6:A$13)),ROWS(A$1:A1))-ROW(A$6)+1),"")

** array formulas need to be entered using the key
combination of CTRL,SHIFT,ENTER (not just ENTER).
Hold down both the CTRL key and the SHIFT key
then hit ENTER.

Copy down until you get blanks.
