Drop Down Box Search Reference Header

Hi All, Im new to these forums, i joined in the hopes of solving this problem.

I work with a construction company and i am trying to create a master form that brings all our current ones together. i almost have it complete just one bug i need to fix.

So i have a division section for each trade, then i have a company section.

i enter the division in via a drop down menu (simple one just provides results from a table) and lets say i put in electrical.

I then want to have my next Coulomb go to a table and find the Electrical heading, and then show me a list of the company that will do electrical.

Then i want to be able to go to Another table and look under that company and then pick a certain contact. ( i then have the rest of the information auto filled from the name... im just trying to get it to give me the opition to select the name out of a drop down rather than type it in every time)

-- means new cell.

Div (Electrical) -- Company (drop down with list of electrical) -- Contact (drop down with electrical employees)

so basically this

Div (Demo/ Millwork/ Electrical/ HVAC) -- Company ( Bobs Electrical / good electricians / Zips Electric/ Static) -- Contact (Zip/ Jean/ Geoff)

Is the attached spreadsheet what you are trying to achieve?

That is exactly what i am looking for. i get most of the formula, but how did you get the drop box there? there is no formula in that box, and no other formula references the square that the result is in.

The cells are validated and the validation uses formulas to create the dropdown box. Have a look at the data validation for these cells and it will show how I arrived at the results shown.
