Formula not displaying result in cell

Excel is doing something I have never seen...When I type in a formula, it displays the formula itself in the cell and not the result, and yes, I am remembering the = at the beginning. When I go to the formula box to check the result, it displays the correct result with no errors. Furthermore, it seems the same formula displays correctly in some cells an not others. When I cut and paste the same formula into the same cell, most of the time, it reverts back to showing the formula and not the result. I've tried it from different documents and different computers! Anyone ever seen this before? and is there a way to correct the issue?

Originally, I did check the formatting in the cell box to make sure it was set to general, and it was. Nevertheless, your suggestion still worked to fix the issue. Thanks so much!
