    Formula required for cumulative Sum involving successive increments in range to be summed.

    Hi,

    I'm attaching a file which shows results in E15:J15. You can see that these results are the sums of the ranges above where the number of non zero values get progressively larger across the data matrix.

    I'm looking to achieve a single function in E15, copied across to I15 to give the same results.

    I'm also looking for a single function for J15 where you see the calculation is slightly different.

    I know how to do this with a VBA macro but I'm wondering if anyone can think of an efficient formula using standard Excel functions.

    hi Richard, are you going to keep adding on the rows? this is what i've done for the eg you gave. if you are going to keep adding, then it's probably not feasible.
