    Convert dd-mm-yyyy hh:mm to count of minutes

    Hi Guys

    Hopefully you are able to assist;

    I am working in Excel 2010 and need to convert a date format into a number of minutes: dd-mm-yyyy hh:mm (ex. 703 minutes).

    So, what formular should I use in order to count the number of minutes between "occured date" and "resolved date" ?

    Occurred Date Resolved Date
    04-01-2012 12:19:14 04-01-2012 12:58:00

    Any suggestions of what I can do? Simply cannot make it work.

    Thank you from a very inexperienced user.

    Try A2-A1 and format as mm:ss ( A2=resolve, A1=Occurred)

    I can do that, the problem is the format. I need to get a clean number so I can compare the time difference with the total number of minutes per. month (44640).

    How do I get a format to do so?

    =(A2-A1)*1440 format as number

    Of course!

    Just what I was looking. Sometimes thinks are so easy when you see it (just a small format change and it works like a charmer). Thanks a lot and have a nice day!
