    Conditional format cell below

    I want to highlight the cell below if the cell above contains a number
    e.g cell A1 contains a number so cell A2 will be filled with a colour.
    I think I need to use the offset formula but not sure how?

    hi telsan, welcome to the forum. select the range you want to apply to (eg A2:A10)
    go to Home -> Conditional Formatting -> New Rule -> Use a formula to determine which cells to format -> Format values where this formula is true:
    =ISNUMBER(A1)
