I want to highlight the cell below if the cell above contains a number
e.g cell A1 contains a number so cell A2 will be filled with a colour.
I think I need to use the offset formula but not sure how?

hi telsan, welcome to the forum. select the range you want to apply to (eg A2:A10)
go to Home -> Conditional Formatting -> New Rule -> Use a formula to determine which cells to format -> Format values where this formula is true:
=ISNUMBER(A1)
