have been given the table below to use if function to display band in the Tax Band cell and the salary cell is the one used for salary ranges in the lookup table below.i know how to du it with Vlookup but i am required to use if function

Salary Income Tax Band
$0.00 0.00% A
$500.00 10.00% B
$5,000.00 15.00% C
$50,000.00 20.00% D

Since you didn't set up an example spreadsheet, I'm going to assume that this is in a table from A1:C6. Then...if the salary you're looking up is in A8, put this formula in B8:
