    Excel 2010 - today's date formula

    Hi There,

I have this formula =IF(C11155="","",TODAY()) that's purpose is to put the current date when data is entered into the cell, works great, until you save, close and open up the next day. The formula updates all previuos entires to that date instead of maintaining the date it was filled.

Is there a way to lock the formula automatically or add to the formula so that it only changes if the cell is touched? This is for a beginner admin and I'm hoping to make it easy and user friendly... thank you!
