    Conditional Formatting. If D7 is = to or > B7, color it green. If D7 is < B7, color it red

    I'm keeping an inventory of items in survival kits for my work. In column B i have the desired quantity of each item. column c is the name of each item. Then columns D,F,H,J,L, etc is the inventory for each specific kit.

    I want to format the sheet so that columns D,F,H,J,L, etc will color green if I enter a value equal to or greater than the value listed in Column B for that specific Row.

    I want a seperate format for these sames columns that will color the cell red if I enter a value less than the value listed in column B for that specific row.

    I'm about 50% familiar with Conditional Formatting.

    Introduce a rule in conditional formatting of Cell D7 as
    Cell Value >= $B$7 Format ...... Applies to =$D$7

    Please Keep the format of Cell D7 as General instead of Text. This should work.

    Got it to work for one cell. For example, D13 now references B13 and then colors itself appropriately. Now, instead of entering a formula in each individual box, how can I highlight the whole sheet and say, "Cell Letter/Number, refer to the cell on your same row in column B and format yourself appropriately"

    You want to apply the conditional formatting to multiple cells. Below should be useful. Search your question with suitable english words as most of our problems would have already been faced by someone earlier and a solution must be readily available.
