Assuming the cell is A1 ( or the first cell in the range of cells is A1):
Select the cell (or range of cells), Goto Home tab on Ribbon menu, select Conditional Formatting, select New Rule, select Use Formula, in the Format values where this formula is true put this formula in :
=(Today()- A1)>365
select Format, select Fill..select a color...Hit OK,OK

-Add a File - click advanced (next to quick post), scroll to manage attachments, click, select add files, click select files, select file, click upload, when file shows up at bottom left, click done (bottom right), click submit

Hi I was able to get it to work. Howeever, I have a question to add. When I put in the formula and their are some blank cells due to no date data it fills those cells red, even though they do not yet have a date. How can i keep the cells with no data from filling with red?
I added an example.

High-light the range again, then in CF goto Manage Rules, edit the rule and change the formula to this :
