I am looking for a formula in Excel 2007 thta help me determine square footage by room..

from what kind of a source data?

I am working on a school assignment trying to estimate how much paint will cost base on the sq ft. Example:
Room: F. Room 25' Length 15' Width and Ceiling Height 12. The SF total is 1335, but I cannot figure the formula.

you gotta sum the areas of the walls.
for this room

=(2*12*15)+(2*12*25) is the math formula

height 12
Length 15
width 25
960

=2*(B2*B3+B2*B4) is how you find 960 sq. whatever
this is a math problem, not an excel issue

I do understand the math, but how come the Prof. is asking for a formula.
