Sum Function based on multiple variables

I know this should be easy, but I'm having trouble setting up the formula:

I need a formula that will show me the amount of "lates" per unit for a specific date (today) from a list of dates. Please see attachment. I know this should be easy, but I keep messing it up! Time to call in the big guns!

It's close. However, it is summing all of the "lates" for "Unit 1". I need it to be date specific and only sum the lates for the given day.

Re: Sum Function based on multiple variables

    Hi Mr. H2

    How about:

    =COUNTIFS(A10:A16,C1,E10:E16,C3)
    or
    =SUMPRODUCT(--(A10:A16=C1),--(E10:E16=C3))
    Regards Kevin
