If cell has certain text return value of another cell

I need a formula that If One Cell Equals Certain Text, Then Another Cell Equals The Value Of Another Cell...


Here is what I have....

=IF(D6="CASH", (G6=E6))

but instead of the cell reading TRUE OR FALSE, I need it to equal the value of another cell. ie, if D6="CASH", then G6 = THE VALUE OF E6

I'd appreciate any help correcting the formula.

Thank you for the quick response however G6 is not returning with the value of E6. Are there any other suggestions?

You are putting this formula in cell G6?
