Sumproduct by Job Type, Year and Month

In the attached sample I am able to get totals by catagory and year, but I also want to seperate them by month. So far I have not had much success.
    Any ideas?

Have you tried a pivot table?

You can have Job as a row field, Date grouped by year and month as a column field and Sum of Price for the data field.

    Norie,

I am not sure a pivot table is the answer as this is only interim step in a workbook. I was hoping for a formula that would do the job.

    Thanks for your reply

A pivot table would be able to summarise and group the data as you want.

I tried it with the attached workbook and it worked fine - though I think there was some data missing.

How wouldn't a pivot table work for you?

    What is the next step?
