Need help with two column lookup and return third value...

I could use some help here.

I'm trying to make a spreadsheet that will look up a location (AA, BB, CC) in column A, a date in column B, and return both the first and last values in column C that matches those two conditions. I attached a spreadsheet with what I'm trying to figure out highlighted in yellow.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've tried to wrap my mind round VLOOKUP, LOOKUP, INDEX and MATCH, and cannot seem to get it.

hi jamiecurry, welcome to the forum. i am assuming you will remove the text in row 3 of Sheet2 so that it will purely be dates we can use to lookup? with that, you can try this array formula in C4 to copy down & across:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

to handle errors in Excel 2007 & above, add in the IFERROR:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

you have to paste the formula inside the formula bar & press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER. When done correctly, you should see curly brackets surrounding it

Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.
