Post Split data by Criteria into separate worksheets on one workbook

    Hi,

    Nice to meet you all.

I am wondering if one of you Excel Wizards could help.

I’m trying pick data out from my main data worksheet and transfer it into different work sheets based by site (i.e. Bond Road, Bourne Mill, etc).

I want to run the data, and then drop it into the main data worksheet. In return the individual worksheets then filter by site, its waste commodity, tonnage and amount of loads specific to that site and commodity, this all using the data in the "Main Data" worksheet.

    Is this possible via formula?

I’ve attached my current sheet, please let me know if you require more information.

    Hello TrebleC

I don't have time to give you a Formula at the moment, but 1) this will push it back up the pile & 2) might point you in the right direction.

Assuming the Main Data Sheet comes from a system data dump and will always fall into the same Columns you could use VLOOKUP or INDEX & MATCH Oscar at Get Digital Help has a great resource and wealth of knowledge.

SUMIFS and COUNTIFS might also be valuable

I'd place the Location TW0, TW1 etc in the each of the sheets then you could SUM the tonnage based on the Location and the Commodity.

    Hi VirEgregius

    Thanks for replying.

Unfortunately I can't use the "Location Code" due to this referring to the site the ticket was created at.

I'm not to familiar with Match and index.

Thanks for your help though. I'll also look at Get Digital Help
