Need a formula to find like cells and sum totals.

Hello from a new member.

I have been unable to find a solution by using the search. I hope someone will be able to point me in the right direction for a solution.

In the attached file I want a formula to calculate for “combined_total”(column F).

“Component_total” is “quantity” x “price1” (=C2*D2).


When the “line_item_id”(column A) is equal, add the related “component_total”(column E). The sum of “component_total”(column E) will be “combined_total”(column F).


I have highlighted the first 5 groups to in the attached file to show what I want. I’m not sure how to create a formula that will locate the like cells in column A.

I hope I have explained this clearly. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
