Vlookup, but multiple rows of data needed

    Hi,

I have two spreadsheets. Sheet 1 has a list of names while sheet 2 has the same names as well as an address below them.

    For example:

    Sheet 1:
    A4: Bob Smith

    Sheet 2:
    A4: Bob Smith
    A5: 500 Main Street
    A6:Anywhere, USA

Is there a formula for a Vlookup type function that will not only pull back Bob Smith's name on to sheet 1, but the entire address (i.e. multiple rows)? I've fiddled around for a bit and can't find anything that works. I have a feeling that this could be a handy formula to know

    Thanks!

    ssydow,

    You can look at INDEX/MATCH...

Can you attach a sample spreadsheet for us to look at... click on Go Advanced, then look for a paperclip...
