Producing a flag or highlight when an item is 14 days overdue

I currently created a spreadsheet which I use to track hundreds of documents. Part of the process is when an item is complete it must have certain aspects submitted within 14 days. I currently have 5 sheets in my workbook with each month in everyone. We are about to add a another sheet to make it 6 and manually going back and searching for items over due by 14 days becomes quiet time consuming!

So does anyone know how to format a cell to produce some sort of signal to identify when a item is 14 days overdue?

    EXAMPLE:

    Start:

    January 13th

    End:

    January 16th

    -------

So I need some sort of identifier to happen when the date becomes January 30th.

I am somewhat knowledgeable with Excel but as I get into complex formulas I am lost....

So can anyone shed some insight?

EDIT: I actually left out a fairly large part....

I need it to only signify something is late if another forumula I already have (Y and N, formula I'm using is cell value=N than turns red with red font)

So what I need is IF cell value = N and its 14 days late than Name turns red or has something to signify its late.

    Hi
you can use Conditional Formatting to accomplish this. If your end date is in A2, say, then as CF use =A2+14<=today() and format as needed
