    Help creating Dynamic Calendar

    Hello,

My excel skills are not what they used to be. I'd like to apologize if I put this in the wrong thread.

What I'm looking to build is a Manager Calendar that is dynamic.

Sheet 1 - contains the dynamic calendar
    Sheet 2 - Data /Date/Manager/Site
    Sheet 3 - Manager list

The calendar will pull information from the Data page and fill out the calendar.

I'm not sure how to proceed and with what formula to pull the data from. Is there anyway to compile the data with a date so that it would auto place itself in the calendar?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Re: Help creating Dynamic Calendar

I googled 'Excel Calendar Creator' and received multiple hits. Some appear to be fairly basic (and free) with others providing a lot of options (and not free). Check them out and see if they meet your needs.

    Re: Help creating Dynamic Calendar

    Came up with 2 solutions,
First one is pretty complex, but uses everything as you have laid out:
    solution 1:dctr_mas.sol1.xls
variation with named formula for the daynumber calculation:
    solution 2:dctr_mas.sol2.xls

2nd one, i just re-arranged the data tab a bit to take advantage of lay out, highlighted in Blue, it's a little less complex:
    solution 3:dctr_mas.sol3.xls
variation with named formula for the daynumber calculation:
    solution 4:dctr_mas.sol4.xls

    Note-
If all your headers matched each other, it would be even simpler to use index and matching, and the solutions I have may be optimized, especially the day number calculation,
and none of these are easily expandable to more locations, it's do-able just a little time consuming

But hopefully will point you in the right direction, unless you decide to go with Pauley's suggestion

    Hope this helps
