Enter data in cell and the next cell decreases value by 1

I"m sorry I'm new to this forum and I've tried almost everything possible. I researched the internet for an answer but nothing yet. If you can steer me in the right direction.

Basically I have a list of technicians that have to perform projects on a quarterly basis. Column A is labeled tech # column b is labeled visits. Now they begin with 4 visits a year. I would like to enter their technician number 636 in a2, then b2 will decrease from 4 to 3. Therefore that specific technician has 3 pm's left for the year. Also I would like to highlight the pm's while they are at 4 so when they fall to 3 the cell will no longer be highlighted. Is this possible?

Thank you,

Hi thursday and welcome to the forum

Im sure we can come up with something for you

i would suggest you upload a sample work book, (all sensitive data removed), showing what data you are working with, a few examples of what your expected outcome is, and how you arrived at that
To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Ok-This here is the sample sheet. Basically, the Apple Store begins with 4 visits per year. Note, not all accounts are just 4 jobs as you can see some are 6, 12 etc. In the Visits Pr Yr column (D) it begins with the cells highlighted in red.
