extracting two different lists from a single one.

i have a mixed list of 200 boys and girls and their marks. My problem is how do i extract two separate lists one for boys and the other for girls sorted with the best on top.

    Hi,

Is that all you have, or do you have other relevant information like a field for '***' with perhaps M/F in it?

If not, then short of you creating a list of allowable girls & boys name I can't see how Excel has anything to work with in terms of logic.

    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

    Hi,

Yes I completely forgot about the nanny tendency of the forum. Maybe I should have said 's e x'. - wonder if that will be edited...
