For a given date how to display the conditions between the given date.

hi thilag. but your date overlaps. so what happens when given date is 3-Sep-10? is Condition 1 A1 or C3? mine will give it as C3
=LOOKUP(2,1/(($A2:$A16<=$A19)*($B2:$B16>=$A19)),C$2:C$16)

do explain the logic if otherwise

The above formula exactly matches the my requirement. Sorry for the overlap which i missed out, my requirement for my application is for 03-Sep-10 is should display next / new conditions C3 X1 and your formula does it.
