    Angry 30, 60, 90 Day Conditional Formatting

    I am stumped on an active excel I am trying to create for a training tracker. I have attached an example of what I am trying to accomplish. I want to insert an initial date and have it auto populate an annual expiration date and at the same time have the expiration column highlight depending on 30,60,90 days prior to expiration.

    30= Red
    60=Amber
    90=Yellow
    >90=Green
    I have tried many equations in conditional formatting with no success. Can someone please help me out? Thank you

    Highlight D2:D9, then try these four formulas to apply with the colors you choose:

    Rule #1: =D2-TODAY()<60 [RED]
    Rule #2: =D2-TODAY()<90 [AMBER]
    Rule #3: =D2-TODAY()=90 [YELLOW]
    Rule #4: =D2-TODAY()>90 [GREEN]

    Let me know if that helps.

    I wasn't totally sure of your requirements, you could also try:

    Rule #1: =D2-TODAY()<30 [RED]
    Rule #2: =D2-TODAY()<60 [AMBER]
    Rule #3: =D2-TODAY()<=90 [YELLOW]
    Rule #4: =D2-TODAY()>90 [GREEN]

    ^^^^ That did not seem to fix my problem. I have added a revised excel that should show multiple colors when properly formulated. Would you be able to try and apply your formulas to the excel and resubmit. Maybe I am doing something improperly. Sample_CLS_Live_Tracker.xlsx

    Re: 30, 60, 90 Day Conditional Formatting

    ^^^ Thanks Moo the Dog. I was able to come to that outcome by changing the formats to values, but I wanted to see if there was a way I could leave the "D" column in formats and still arive with the color coding. With the "D" column changed to value... the "D" column no longer is live with the "C" column. I want to substitute dates into "C" as people recertify in their courses and have it auto pop with a new exp date and color coding. Again thanks for the help.
