sumproduct of a number array and a text array starting with 2 numbers

Is this doable?

Let's say that i have 5,10,15 and 10 HotDogs, 25 HotDogs and 50 HotDogs stated in other 3 cells. I know i could do it cell by cell

=A1*left(A2,2)

, but I'd like to do it with a shorter formula (there will be more values than just 3 in an array).

does the job but only for the first couple of cells in the array - it ignores all other.

Try this regular formula

=SUMPRODUCT((A1:C1)*TRIM(SUBSTITUTE(A2:C2,"Hotdogs","")))

Adjuts ranges accordingly
