Importing data to then display if data matches other cells

I am hoping to be able to copy a list of data into a pre-formulated sheet and have each line of data check against a very long list of data (that can be in the sheet already or on another sheet) and then display data from another cell if it matches.

I have tried the IF function but feel like I only know how to boil water and suddenly I am expecting to cook Christmas dinner:-)

In the example attached I would like to be able to import (copy and paste) a list of data into a sheet. This list of data would have the "Brand Name" in each cell. I would like the "Description" that matches the "Brand Name" to be displayed next to each cell that has been imported.
