How do I lookup multiple rows with the same cell reference?

Hi everyone,

I've been having a really hard time looking for information about how to vlookup or lookup multiple rows with the same reference. Here is a brief synopsis of what I am trying to do:

I want to use the check/wire date as my reference as shown here (cell A4) to pull back invoice numbers from sheet 4:

The problem is there are different row data for the same check/wire date reference. In this case, the invoice numbers are different but have the same wire/check date. In otherwords, the different invoice numbers share the same reference (cell A4) on sheet 1. Sheet 4 which contains the table with the invoice numbers I want to pull back matching on the reference cell in sheet 1 (A4) is shown here:

Basically, I want to pull back all of the invoice numbers from the table in sheet 4 that match on the reference date in sheet 1 (cell A4) and put them into their own separate cells in the same column (Invoice#/Rcvb Id) in sheet 1 as shown below:

There must be an elegant way to do this. Please let me know.

This definitely can be done with a couple helper columns. could you post a basic sample workbook? Even just the headers and dates would work.
