IF OR and MONTH Formula Combined!?!

hi

Is it possible to combine the IF, OR and MONTH formula?

I need to get the total result of multiple cells where the month in todays date matches that in the referred cells

This is what I want to say and which is logical to me but I can't transfer it to excel :

=IF the MONTH in todays date is the same as the month in Cell1 then add up these cells OR IF the MONTH in todays date is the same as the month in Cell2 then add up different cells..etc etc

I've attached a sheet to explain this better with a text box and comments

I tried that before posting Chris - I couldn't work out how to create the formula - I was trying to use
(cell references here are just examples and don't relate to my original attachement)

=IF(OR(Month(A1)=(Month($T$1),SUM(A16,D16,F16),(MONTH(B1)=(Month($T$1),SUM(D16,F16,G16) etc etc

or perhaps I just don't need the OR element?!
