    Conditional format expiry date

    hi there, trying to format dates as such:

    Today is 3rd December, 2012. I wish to conditional format training that is over 12mths old. Anything pre 3rd December, 2011 and highlight in a different colour any dates that are coming within the next 30 days (3rd January, 2013) I have got the back part working =TODAY()-H1>365, but cannot get it looking forward.

    Please assist!

    Thanks,

    Meagan

    Hi,

    Presumably

    =TODAY()+30 < reference cell

    Re: Conditional format expiry date

    thanks for the quick response time...perhaps I didn't explain myself clearly. For the looking forward one I'm looking to highlight days that fall within 30 days of todays date. The formula is highlighting days that fall beyond 30days from now.

    thanks again

    Re: Conditional format expiry date

    try
    =(reference -Today())<=30

    edit

    =and((reference-today())>=0,(reference-today())<=30)

    this should avoid any days that fall before today

    Re: Conditional format expiry date

    hi Meagz24, welcome to the forum. change the sign to ">". so if A1 is your reference cell,
    =TODAY()+30>A1

    i prefer to see it in this angle instead. but it works the same:
    =A1-30<TODAY()

    Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.
