I want to randomly change the numbers in certain cells, in a variety of number formats, but more importantly, I want to do it when I want to do it. Not changing after each calculation like the RAND formula.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Maybe...Set calculation to manual...press F9 when you want to calculate
Life's a spreadsheet, Excel!
Say thanks, Click *
I have tried this, but I don't think this will suit.
I am a Maths teacher, and I am trying to set a homework ex, or a practice test, so that every time a pupil opens the sheet, or wants a slightly different Question, the appropriate number values will change.
If possible the pupil would click a cell to change the appropriate numbers in the list of questions.
Any ideas?
Hi
Still not really sure what to do here
Can I group a number of cells, all of which I would want to change manually at the same time, and then use the f9 key
(maybe) to activate the change?
Or, even better, can I force this change using the f9 key, but have the f9 key operated by clicking a cell that I connect to the f9 key?
Or, have a diagram/symbol/insert imported into the spreadsheet to activate the f9 key?
Thanks
David
