Excel Formula Correction & Help

Hello Everyone

I need help to set up the formula in the attached workbook in the cell P11 & Q11 (highlighted in red). The amount should be equal to P34 & Q34 respectively. Somehow the formula set up is missing some mathematical function and i am not getting the required result. Can anyone please help?

Description: the formula is to work out the annual rent figure as per the inflation in the particular month in that year. If you look at the cell N11, the formula says that on 1st March 2013 there is 0% increase in rent so the rent in 2013 is the same as 2012. But in 2014, there is an inflation of 4% on 1st March 2014, so the monthly rental of Jan 2014 & Feb 2014 remains same as was in 2013 but from March 2014, it will increase by 4% for the rest of the year. I have calculated the simple steps in row 23 to 34 but i want to set up the formula.

Can someone please help?

O11/12=48897.34367 And P11/12= 50527.25512 these numbers jive better with your formula???????

Sorry, I dont understand what are you asking? What's the use of the formula you have mentioned in your reply?

Are those are the numbers that should go in P21,22 and Q21,22 or must the formula fit the 49212.81 in P21?

If the 49212.81 is wrong then the numbers I cited work for the cross check.

Hi

I think you are confused. I want the formula in P11 & Q11 that can calculate the correct figure which is 610238.84 (P34) & 634648.40 (Q34). I have calculate manually to show you how the amount is correct. The formula i have inserted in P11 is not getting the result 610238.84 but it is calculating 606327.06 which is incorrect.
